Brent Allen "Frog" Taylor, 49 of Mt. Vernon, passed away 7:01 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
Brent was born March 19, 1964, in New Castle, Ind. the son of Charles William and Patricia Ann (Dulaney) Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a graduate of Wayne City High School Class of 1984. He was of the Christian faith. Brent worked construction until failing health. Brent served his country in the United States Navy.
Brent is survived by his mother, Pat Taylor of Mt. Vernon; daughters, Jami and husband Lucas McCowen of Waltonville and Kyrie Taylor and special friend Tasheem Johnson of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Elizabeth and husband Tim Deutsch of Vandalia and Brenda Suitor and special friend Ed Belmont of Bluford; two brothers Frank Taylor and wife Joy of Wayne City and William Taylor and wife Stacey of Bluford; two half sisters, Mary and husband Monty Dial of Mt. Vernon and Lorie and husband Jacob Hunsell of Waltonville; and also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Taylor.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Tracy Thomas officiating. Military flag presentation will be conducted by the American Legion Post 141 in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
For those who wish, memorials may be made to the family or the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
