Mrs. Tyler.  When I got home from school last night my white face heifer was sick and trying to have a calf.  We got her in the barn and I had to go to school at Mt. Vernon.  Dad said he would see about her.  When I got home she hadn’t had the calf yet and they had called the veterinarian.  He charged $14.  The cow is alright but I don’t think the calf will live.  I could never get it up to suck and the cow is too wild to milk.
