Gen is to work today.  Mrs. [Ivy] Braddy’s mother died Friday and was buried Sunday.  Mrs. Braddy will not be at school today.  Mrs. Tyler is going to teach in her place today.  [Ivy Braddy's mother was Hannah Etta (Robertson) Johnson who was dad’s great aunt.]

We went to Vincennes, Ind. to get mom & dad.  They came from Indianapolis on the bus.  I had to put in three quarts of oil in my car when I got home.

Bernard Lathrop is taking my hogs to market today.  My 10 hogs weighed 2350 lbs. and brought $530.10.  26.60¢ a lb. I will get  my new tractor tomorrow.  Massey Ferguson [note by Trixie Lathrop]

Don Haile told me today that he would not be back next year.  Gen got a call today that her father died.  Herman took her and Tom and left school  Don drove the bus for Herman.  We have only three days of school this week.
