1704 - St. Anne's Parish Parish was created.  It served Essex County until after 1785 and both Essex and Carolina County when it was formed in 1728 until after 1785.  

1717 - Essex Co. VA - John was defendant in a court case against Paul Macou which was dismissed. 

1733 - Caroline Co., VA - a John Beasley served as road supervisor. 

1745, Nov. 27 - Account Book of William Beverley, 1745:

It is possible that the following is our John Beasley.  He could also possibly be his son John Beasley or an entirely different person.  It is interesting.

Tobacco received of Jno. Beasley from Jno. Beasley's plantation came into Roys warehouse with the mark IB, hogshead number 4, 1051 quantity, was shipped by William Beverley on the Mercury to Bristol. [Roy's Warehouse was located akong the Rappahannock River in Caroline County.]

First Christian Church

First Christian Church - Wayne City, Illinois

1889 - May meeting was held at the Methodist Episcopal Church presided over by Elder J.S. Rose of Albion. The meeting lasted 18 days and culminated in the organization of the First Christian Church of Wayne City. Fifty-two members were in attendance at the meeting.

1890 - October 19 - church dedicated by Elder Rose. It was a great day for the young church, and services were held at 10:30 am, 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm with large attendance at each of the services. Trustees were A.G. Scudamore, E.B. Reid and J.M. Whitson.

Some people claim that John Henry is a relative of Patrick Henry.  I don't think that is correct as those Henrys are accounted for and end up in Tennessee.  It is more likely that our John Henry moved through Virginia and Ohio and maybe got as far west as Illinois with the Robertsons. If his son is the same as James D. Henry, sheriff of Sangamon Co., Illinois, John lived in Pennsylvania.

Rev. John Lathrop was born at Etton, Yorkshire, England 20 December 1581, Later he came to the colonies and died 8 November 1653 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. John had nine children. The following list six of them. John was one of 22 children of Thomas Lowthroppe, who was born at Cherry Burton, England 19 Jun 1536 and died in October 1606.

Much of the following was furnished to me by Dr. Frederic Lathrop, a pediatrician of Plainfield, NJ and other parts were compiled by my late grandmother, Emma Reed Clark, who was the wife of George Burt Clark who is listed herein.
