1558 Robert Lowthroppe b. ca. 1513 in Cherry Burton, Yorkshire, England son of John & Margaret (Wade) Lowthroppe made his will at age 45 on July 16th. It went into probate on Oct. 20, 1558 in York, England.
1. To ye blessed sacrament of ye altar for forgotten tythes, v s.
2. To poor people at his burial, 4 marks, by executors. [mark is "money of account" worth 2/3 of a pound]
3. To ye church of "Sheriburton," 6s, 8d.
4. To son John all lands and tenements in So. Dalton and all freehold lands and titles; the lands in Burton purchased of Richard Fenle and Marmaduke Whytinge; and in default of issue from him, the reversion of the foregoing to be unto son Lawrence and his heirs.
5. To son Thomas all lands and their appurtenances in Walkinton.
6. To daughter Margaret a messuage [dwelling house] in Beverlaie, in the Tenore of Christopher More. If she fail of issue this also to go to son Lawrence.
7. To wife Ellen, during widowhood, and then to son Thomas all leases and terms of years of his two "fermolds" in Burton and Rainthorpe. If she should marry or die the leases to remain in Thomas and his executors and heirs. The said Ellen and Thomas are to succor "with meat and drink and house room" in said "fermold" in Burton all the rest of the children to their several marriages.

1910 James Fitzgerald age 68 in Granby, MO. The son of James & Elizabeth (Taylor) Fitzgerald he was born ca. 1844 in Illinois. James married Rebecca Ward and they had 13 children of which Joseph, Lizzie, James, John, Ida, Cora, Minnie and Mada. James worked in zinc mines around Joplin, MO. He and Rebecca were divorced ca. 1907. James is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Diamond, MO.

son of Vern & Mary (Rainwater) Shaw was born in Sep. 1919 and died July 16,
1920. He is buried in Salem / Mateer
Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.
1921 Joseph Milner Dies Saturday, was father of Mrs. W.F. Hardy of Decatur
Joseph C. Milner aged 75, died in St. Mary's hospital at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning after an illness which began early in the spring. Mr. Milner was born in Jefferson county this state. He enlisted in Co. I 48th ILL. Inf., and served three years in the Civil War. His father, Thomas Milner was killed in battle.
He was married in 1866 to Miss Eliza Gurley of Wayne county, who died a number of years ago. Mr. Milner followed farming in Sangamon county, living for some time in Auburn. In recent years he had made his home with his children, having been for the last two in Decatur. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. J.F. Darneille, Seaford, Del., Mrs. A.L. Baker, Houston Heights, Tex. and Mrs. W.F. Hardy of Decatur.
He also leaves three brothers: James Milner of Glenarm, John Milner of Johnsonville, and Isaac Milner of Kane, together with two sisters living in the west. He also leaves six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Milner was a member of Dunham post, GAR and the Congregational church. The funeral will be held in the residence of W.F. Hardy, 1440 West Macon Street at 9 o'clock Monday morning, and burial will be in Brush Creek cemetery, Divernon, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Decatur Review, July 16, 1921
1967 Dennis C. Lathrop 78 of this city, died Sunday at Alton, IL. A retired farmer, he had spent most of his life in Petty Township where he was born Nov. 6, 1888, a son of Albert Lathrop and Otelia Hostettler Lathrop.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Petty Lathrop and six children: Levi Lathrop of Rt. 1 Bridgeport, Leonard Lathrop of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Beulah Le____ of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Dorothy Falke of Adrian, Mich., Mrs. Norma Leturno of Carpentersville, Ill., and Mrs. Phyllis Summers of Titusville, Fla. There are 19 grandchildren. One son Gerald preceded him in death.
Also surviving are one brother Dempy Lathrop of Route 1, Sumner, and one sister Mrs. Vievia Wagner of Route 4, Sumner.
He was a member of Prairie Chapel E.U.B. Church.

Dennis C. Lathrop, son of Albert and Otelia Hostettler Lathrop, was born on Nov. 6th 1888, in Petty Township, Lawrence County, Illinois, and he departed this life on July 16, 1967, at the Alton State Hospital, Alton, Illinois. His age was 78 years, 8 months and 10 days.
On Sept. 16, 1917, he was united in marriage to Mable J. Petty, also of Petty Township. To this union were born 3 sons and 4 daughters, namely Beulah O. Ledet of Charleston, So. Carolina, Dorothy E. Falke of Adrian, Michigan, Levi L. Lathrop, Bridgeport, Illinois, Gerald I. Lathrop deceased Norma J. Leturno, Carpentersville, Illinois, Leonard E. Lathrop, Danville, Illinois and Phyllis E. Summers, Titusville, Fla.
Mr. Lathrop spent his entire life on the farm where he was born, north of Sumner, until the last two years. At that time he and Mrs. Lathrop moved to 514 Christy Avenue, Sumner.
He was converted in 1915 and joined the Prairie Chapel E.U.B. Church, where he remained a faithful member as long as his health permitted.
Surviving, in addition to the wife and six children, are 19 grandchildren, 1 brother, Dempy and 1 sister Mrs. Vevia Wagner, both of rural route Sumner and many other relatives and friends . . .
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Sivert Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Wortman officiating, assisted by Rev. P.R. Curry. Interment was in the Sumner Cemetery.
2001 Elizabeth
(Martin) Robertson, age 96 in Oregon.
She was born in Virginia in 1905 and was married to Grandrill Robertson.
