In Memoriam July 14th

1892 Lizzie Fitzgerald age 24 the daughter of James & Rebecca (Ward) Fitzgerald.

1948 Alice (Martindale) Withrow born in 1897, she was 51 years old. In 1911 Alice married Elmer Withrow and they had thirteen children: Gussie, Gordon, Phema, Clemmie, Lillian, Lloyd, Boyd, Joy, Mary , George, Shirley, Winfod and Dorothy.  Alice is buried in Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO.

1967 Edgar Lathrop . . . farmer of Claremont Township, passed away this morning at the home of his daughters Misses Dorothy and Lucille Lathrop at 415 West Cherry Street in Olney.

Funeral services will be held at the Memorial Chapel of the SUmmers-Rainey Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Gilbert Hughes officiating.  Burial will be at Amity cemetery in German Township.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Lathrop was born March 5, 1881 in Richland county, son of the late Henry and Lovina Hostettler Lathrop.  He lived for many years on his farm just south of Claremont, but a few months ago came to Olney to live with his daughters.  His wife Anna Marie, died in 1954.

He is survived by his two daughters, Misses Lucille and Dorothy Lathrop of Olney; and five sons, William of Calhoun, Roy of Bridgeport, Arthur of Claremont, Carl of Lawrenceville and Fred of Maywood.  A brother, Curtis of Claremont, and four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Babbs of Danville, Mrs. Otelia White and Mrs. Grace Packard of McAllen, Texas and Mrs. Lora Fisher of Bowie, Maryland.  Eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters, and a son Edward, and a great-grandson.

2002 Clair Bertoch in Grand Junction, CO age 92.  She was born in Welch, OK in 1910 and married Hester Robertson in Ogden UT.  They had twin sons Jesse and Lesse.  Clair is buried in Palisade Municipal Cemetery in Palisade, CO.
