Jacob Ingel, labourer, hath made oath that he is afraid Mikle Krycel will beat, wound, maim or kill him or injur him in his property & hath prayed security of the peace against him; cause Mikel Kriseel to com before some Justice to find sufficient security for his personal appearance at next court & in the meantime to keep the peace toward the good people of the State but specially towards Jacob Ingel & if Mikle Kreycel refuses so to do convey him to Gaol & deliver him to the keeper thereof & you, said keeper, are command to receive Mickle Kreycel into your custody & keep him the Common Gaol until he hath find such security as aforesaid or until he be otherwise discharged by due course of law. 26 May 1799, Anthony Hallman, J.P. John Benjamin Culler was born March 12, 1810 in or near Orangeburg, SC where the first Cullers settled in 1735. He married Nancy Lane from Brushy Mountain area in 1841 and they had the following children: Govan, Elizabeth, M.J. and John S. He died April 12, 1912.
Govan Culler was born in 1842 and served in the army during the Civil War. Returning to Wilkes County after the war, he married Salena Bumgarner of Millers Creek area and they had the following children: Robert, Frank, William (d.y.), James, Nancy and John Elam. Govan died in 1919 and was buried in the Wilkesboro Cemetery.
Robert Culler married Sally Crysel and they had three sons. They lived and died in High Point, NC

Henry Holdaway was born 15 September 1753 in Virginia. he enlisted on 17 Aug. 1776, in Culpepper County, Va. in the Regiment of Rifleman under the command of Captain Gabriel Long. He also served under Col . Daniel Margaro (?). He was in the Battles of Trenton and Princeton, in two battles on the Hudson, and in the Battle of Monmouth, together with thirteen skirmishes. He received an honorable discharge after three years service at Rumpton Plains, New Jersey.
On 25 Jan., 1779 before his discharge, Henry was married to Eleanor Andisson Crystal, daughter of William and Mary Bruce Crystal. The Crystal / Crysel and Holdaway families migrated to Wilkes County, NC probably about the same time.
A daughter of Henry and Eleanor, Elizabeth, became the wife of William Nichols. William and Elizabeth had a daughter Rebeca, who married Stephen Bumgarner.
