Estate of Elizabeth Gentle, Feb. 1850 term, 13 August 1847 James Wood, surviving executor of will proven by witnesses Alexander Wood . . . will," . . . my eldest daughter, Elizabeth Gentle and her husband, Nicholas Croas; daughter of Jane Gentle 1/2 of house on lot 2, block #23 in Indianapolis; son James Gentle other 1/2 of same lot and block, dated 1 September 1846" other executor Samuel Goldsberry and other witness David McOuat . . . James Wood executor filed $500 bond secured by James Gentle . . . she died 30 September 1846 leaving $250 personal estate . . . 25 February 1850 settled.

Probate Order Book E - Ezra Lathrop son of Elkanah & (--?--) Lathrop
p. 307 - On their application, Elkanah Lathrop and George W. Sidener were appointed administrators of the estate of Ezra Lathrop Sr., deceased with Jacob Sidener as their surety.  The widow Margaret relinquished her right to act as admx. Nov. 10, 1845.

p. 312 - An inventory of the personal property of Ezra Lathrop Sr. deceased was here entered appraised by Thomas Coleman and Abram Ricketts and included a sidesaddle, a looking glass, a twenty four hour brass clock, one lot of books, a sleigh, a windmill, five notes and accounts due the deceased and the usual household and farm items of that time, Nov. 24, 1845.

p. 592 - A sale bill was entered here for the personal property of Ezra Lathrop deceased.  Ezra Jr., Margaret and Elkanah Lathrop purchased items at the sale, Nov. 21, 1846.
Complete Record Book A - Erastus Lathrop son of Elkanah & (--?--) Lathrop
p. 142 - The heirs of Erastus Lathrop, deceased listed as: Augustus, Ezra Jr., both of legal age, Maria, the wife of Braxton Robison and Harvey, Nelson, Erastus, Miranda, Lectean, and Russell Lathrop and Delia Lahtrop the wife in chancery suit.  Ezra Sr. stated that in Dearborn Co., Ind. in 1821 he gave his brother $100 to purchase land from him which he did purchase in section 26, township 11, range 9.  Erastus died Oct. 22, 1822 and his wife Delia remarried to Stephen O. Brown.  Ezra Sr. wanted a deed for this land. Sept. 1826.
Complete Record Book B - Nelson Lathrop son of Erastus & Delia (Ingalls) Lathrop
p. 378 - Nelson Lathrop vs. Nancy Lathrop in a complaint for a divorce.  He stated that he married Nancy Cloud in 1826 in Decatur Co. and that two children were born to him.  He stated that she abandoned him in January of 1832.  Divorce granted, April 1832.

Complete Record Book C - Nelson Lathrop son of Erastus & Delia (Ingalls) Lathrop md. 2nd Clarissa Falbra or Folber Jan. 2, 1836.
p. 491 - Benjamin Randall vs. Thomas, Sarah, Charles, Durbin & Wesley Falbra and Nelson and Clarissa Lathrop all heirs of Charles Falbra deceased in a chancery suit involving lots in the town of Greensburgh.  Sept. 1837.
Order Book 1 - Augustus Lathrop son of Erastus & Delia (Ingalls) Lathrop
p. 43 - Augustus Lathrop allowed sum for grand jury service, March 1824
p. 69 - Ezra Lathrop came in court and filed his intentions of becoming a citizen (or was granted citizenship - unclear) of the U.S. He stated that he was born in 1803 in the Province of Lower Canada, in the District of Montreal, Sutton Twp. and removed to Franklin Co., Vermont in 1811.  His age now was twenty two. April 1825.   Son of Erastus & Delia (Ingalls) Lathrop.
p. 97 - Ezra, Erastus, Harvey, Miranda, Nelson, Augustus, Lectean and Russell Lathrop were listed in a petition for partition of real estate.  A commission was appointed to make the partition. Sept. 1825.

p. 172 - A map of the Lathrop real estate partition was here entered, March. 1827.

John Davis vs. Peter Moore & George Moore: Partition,
13 May 1836 John Davis is tenant in common with Peter and George Moore in the north part SW Quarter Section 1 Town 4, North Range 2 West, 84 acres.
John Davis is entitled to 1/3 part, or the dower right of Mary Ann Moore, widow of Jacob Moore and 1/2 the residue or the shares of Daniel Moore and Mary Ann Harbert formerly Mary Ann Moore, two of the children of Jacob Moore, deceased, he having left as children and heirs Daniel Moore, Mary Ann Harbert married to Richard Harbert; Peter Moore and George W. Moore.
Mary Ann (widow), Daniel Moore and the Harberts sold their shares to John Davis.
Maria Huffman, assignee of George W. & Peter Moore objects to survey, contends it was not properly carried out.  Court finds in favor of John Davis.  Davis is a colored man.
