Erkman Siblings

Lyman & Freda (Jordan) Porter, Anna (Erkman) Wheeler, Henry Erkman, Sophia (Erkman) Jordan and Lonnie Wheeler.

Three of the four youngest children of Jacob & Fredericka Erkman were Anna, Sophia and Henry Erkman.  Anna and Sophia were two years difference in age and Henry was seven years younger than Anna.  The three remained very close throughout their lives.  Henry and Anna had homes adjacent to each other in Wayne City from the 1950's until Henry's death in 1974.  Sophia lived in Evansville, Indiana but visited quite often.  

Freda Jordan was the daughter of Sophia Erkman and Ernest Jordan.  She married Lyman Porter in 1931.  They never had any children of their own.  The couple raised Lyman's niece, Helen.
