In Memoriam June 17th

1863 David Robertson age 35 in St. Louis, MO.  Born in Ohio in 1828 to David & Rebecca (Clark) Robertson he married Julia and they had at least two children: Rebecca and Luvella.  David was a policeman and was drafted into the Union army.  He is buried in Alton National Cemetery in Alton, IL.

1865 Clinton Hopkins son of John & Susannah (Saltzman) Hopkins in Belle City, IL he was 50.  Born in Christian Co., KY in 1815 he married Beulah Huddleston and they had at least three children: Maria, William and Thomas.   He is buried in Olive Branch Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.

1908 Absalom Hampton age 70 in Oldham Co., KY.  He was the son of J.R. & Mary Hampton and was born in Kentucky in 1837.  Absalom married Mary Speer in 1870.  They had no children.  He is buried in Mt. Tabor Methodist Church cemetery in Oldham Co., KY.

1992 Ralph Robertson in Denver, CO the son of Amos & Lula (Cravens) Robertson, he was 92.  Born in Sims, IL in 1899 he married Lucille ca. 1943.  He is buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Thornton, CO.

1997 Mrs. Wanita Colclasure Schryer, 69, died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 1997 at her home.
She had been in declining health.
A native of Fairfield, Mrs. Schryer lived in Chicago a number of years, returning to Fairfield in December of 1978 to make her home here.
A solemn requiem Latin mass will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, with Father Jerry Hechenberger in charge.  There will be private viewing for family only.  The body is to be cremated.  Johnson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was born in Fairfield Jan. 16, 1928, the daughter of John Frank and Georgia Ellen Arnold Colclasure.
She was married to Charles Schryer Jr.
Preceding her in death were her father and mother, two sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Schryer was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church here.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Shirley Lewis of Fairfield, four sons, Ronald Underwood of Madisonville, Ky.; Robert Shcryer, of Fairfield; Thomas Schryer of Mendota; and Charles F. Schryer III of Barnhill; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
