1884 Esther (Strawn)
Johnson age 76. She was born in 1807 and
married Charles Johnson. Esther is
buried in Union Cemetery in Quakertown, PA.
1985 Funeral rites for Mrs. Paulette Lathrop were conducted
at 10 a.m. today from Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. Joe
Latson officiating. Cremation will
follow.
A 66-year-old resident of Route 2, Sumner, Mrs. Lathrop died in her home about 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
Born Jan. 18, 1919, in Montoir, France, she was the daughter of Joachim and Eugenie Landrin Tesson. She was married to Harold Lathrop, who preceded her in death.
She has no survivors.
2004 Marcella M.
Petty, Lawrenceville, IL, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the Lawrence County
Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, IL. She was 89.
Born in Clay County, IL, on May 10, 1915, she was the daughter of Paul Adam Petitjean and Frances Kuensler Petitjean. She married Armor Petty and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1996, She was a homemaker and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bridgeport.
Survivors include, one son, Larry Petty of Vincennes, IN; one daughter, Mary Ralston of rural Lawrenceville; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Susan, three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held (today) Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL. Burial will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Claremont, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the Heart Association through the Funeral Home. [The Sumner Press, June 17, 2004]
