1691 Joan (Gallop)
Joy in Hingham, MA the daughter of John & Christabel Gallop was born in
England and immigrated to Massachusetts in 1633. She married Thomas Joy in 1637 and they had
eight children: Samuel, John, Thomas, Joseph, Ephraim, Benjamin, Elizabeth and
Ruth. She is buried in Hingham Cemetery,
Hingham, MA.
1713 Samuel Denton
in Hempstead, NY age 81 born in Halifax, England in 1631 he was the son of
Richard Denton. In 1656 he married Mary
Rock Smith in Hempstead, NY and they had at least one son: Abraham.
1774 Nathaniel Lathrop age 80 in Norwich, CT he was the son of Samuel & Hannah (Adgate) Lathrop born in 1693. He married Ann Backus in 1717. In 1735 "He settled first on the Namussuck farm, which his great-grandfather had owned in New London, but in 1735 sold that farm and removed to Norwich." [Huntington, p. 60] Nathaniel was commissioned a lieutenant during the Louisburg expedition in 1745. He is buried in the Old Norwich Cemetery.
1809 Daniel Janes in
Richford, VT age 58 born 1751 the son of Jonathan & Irene (Bradford)
Janes. He married Annie Saunders in 1776
in Richford and they had nine children: Irene, Rachel, Charles, Annie,
Jeremiah, Charles, Daniel, Ira and Lydia.
1901 Ruth Lathrop
age 5 the daughter of Henry & Luvinia (Hostetler) Lathrop. She was born in 1896 and is buried in Amity
Cemetery in Richland Co., IL.
1932 Mary (Speer)
Hampton in Louisville, KY age 86 she was born in Oldham Co., KY In 1845 the
daughter of Marquis & Susan (Hinkle) Speer.
She married Absalom Hampton in 1870 and they had no children. She is buried in Mount Tabor Methodist Church
cemetery in Crestwood, KY.
1964 Mrs. Flossie Eunice
Robertson,53,of Bluford died at 11:45 p.m. Friday at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Pulley-Gutzler funeral home with the Rev. W.M. Clifton officiating. Burial will be in East Hickory Hill Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Pulley-Gutzler funeral home, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Robertson was born October 22, 1910, in Wayne County, the daughter of Milton and Idella (Robertson) Osborn.
In 1928, she was married to Claude Robertson, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs Jeannene Harrell of Harmony, Mrs. Rose Bahrns of Effingham, and Judy Robertson, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rogers of Mount Vernon and Mrs Rose Herman of Chicago and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one sister and four brothers.
