1925 Ross Lathrop
age 41 of crushed head from mine explosion in Missouri. He was born in 1883 the son of Ezra &
Nancy (Boly) Lathrop. Ross was married
to a woman named Edith.
1974 Henry Erkman 83, of Wayne City, a retired carpenter, died
at 7 a.m. Sunday at his home.
He was born in White county, on Oct. 4, 1890, the son of Jacob and Fredarica (Propest) Erkman. [sic]
Mr. Erkman was a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Richardson Chapel in Wayne City, with burial in Thomason Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 5 p.m. today.
Mr. Erkman is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Trixie Lathrop, Wayne City; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Wheeler, Albion and Mrs. Sophia Jordan, Evansville, Ind.
1995 Muriel M. Lathrop,
69, of Bridgeport, died at 9 a.m. Friday March 10, 1995 at Lawrence County Memorial
Hospital in Lawrenceville.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today (Monday) at Crest Haven Memorial Park with Rev. Oren Mulvaney officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Lathrop was born Aug. 8, 1925 in Wheeler, the daughter of Arthur and Lola (Kirkham) Foster. She married Levi L. Lathrop in 1947.
She was a secretary and bookkeeper at the Lawrence County Courthouse. She was a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Sumner. She was also a member of the Professional Women and Business Association.
She is survived by her husband of Bridgeport; two sons, Steve Lathrop of Sumner, and Denny Lathrop, of Cody, Wyo.; a daughter Karen Lathrop of Bridgeport; a sister Esther Vickers of Brooksville, Fla.; and six grand-children.
Lathrop was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters.
