In Memoriam March 16th

1727 Joseph Morse wrote his will which included his wife Susanna and children: Joseph, Amos, Lydia, Mary wife of Jonas Wood, Ann wife of John Wood and Elizabeth.  Joseph also mentioned his grandchildren: Ann, Phebe, Samuel & Jeremiah Wood.  He owned at least 193 acres of land which he disposed of in his will.  Joseph’s will was proved July 28, 1729.

1825 Joseph Ogle in Coshocton, Ohio age 72 the son of John & Ruth (Beall) Ogle was born in Owens Creek, MD in 1753.  He married Amelia Linton in Maryland ca. 1788 and they had three children: William, Thomas and Sarah.


1874 Aurelia (Fassett) Powell age 83 years, 10 months and 23 days in Richford, VT she was born in 1790 in Enosburgh, VT the daughter of Judge Amos & Anna (Lawrence) Fassett.  She married ca. 1810 in Capt. John Powell and they had eight children: Julia, Saphronia, John, Chester, George, James, Henry and William.  Aurelia is buried in the Troy Street Cemetery in Richford.


1923 August May in St. Jacob, IL age 43 the son of Fredrich & Elizabeth (Aebisher) May was born in St. Jacob, IL in 1880.  He married Linda Suter in 1906 and they had at least one son, Orville.  He is buried in Marine Cemetery in St. Jacob, IL.

1972 Bert W. Musteen, 82, died Thursday afternoon at his home here.
Mr. Musteen had been a livestock broker and a longtime resident of the Cameron area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby P. Musteen; three sons, Harold Musteen and Larren Musteen, both of Kansas City and Merle L. Musteen, Benton, AR; one daughter Mrs. Edith Horstmeyer, Costa Mesa, CA; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Michael mortuary with the Rev. Clarence Newby officiating.  Burial will be in Cameron Memory Gardens.
