I'm starting to look into the Armon family based on the naming conventions and the fact that the first son is named Armon.  Also the possibility that her first name was Hannah based on the fact that the only known daughter is named Hannah.

Another possibility is that Elkanah had two wives.  The second being a Russell as that is a surname and it is not a name that is in the family before this time.

1773 - Shaftsbury, VT - Elkanah's sister Charity getting married

1776, Aug.  - VT - son Erastus born

1781 - Jan. 30 - VT - son Ezra  born

1787-1788 - VT - son Elkanah born betweeen June 27, 1787 & May 26, 1788

1790 - Fairfax, VT - Elkanah appears on census

1790 - Corinth, Orange, VT - John Armon appears on census

1791 - VT - daughter Hannah born ca. 1791

1793 - Jan. 8 - Franklin, VT - son Russell born  

1794 - Fairfax, VT - Elkanah in city records as leather sealer

1795 - Fairfax, VT - Elkanah in city records as leather sealer and named a trustee of the school
