In Memoriam - October 24th

1653 Rachel (Talcott) Steele in Farmington, CT.  Rachel was born in Braintree, England the daughter of John & Ann (Skinner) Talcott. She married John Steele and they had eight children: Hannah, Lydia, John, Samuel, Mary, Rachel, Daniel and Sarah. 
Rebecca (Clark) Robertson

1873 Rebecca (Clark) Robertson daughter of Samuel & Mary (Darby) Clark in Wayne Co., IL age 68.  She was born in New Jersey in 1804.  The family moved to Ohio where she married David Robertson in 1821.   They had nine children: Hudson, Judith, David, Amos, Hannah, Eleanor, James, John and Mary.  Rebecca is buried in Farnsworth / Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.

1879 Rebecca Robertson five year old daughter of Amos & Sarah (Warren) Robertson.

1890 William Kessler in Champaign Co., IL age 47.  He was born in Pickaway Co., OH in 1843.  William married Sarah Peters and they had seven children: George, Laura, Annie, Rosa, Frank, Michael and Margaret.  





1939 Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Withrow, 77 years old, 2633 East Admiral Court pioneer Oklahoman and a resident of Tulsa since 1922 died at her home Tuesday night following an illness of three years.
She was a native of Illinois and came to the Indian territory in 1881 settling at Sallisaw.  She resided there until coming to Tulsa 17 years ago.
Surviving are three daughters Miss Grace Withrow of the home; Mrs. Dettie Damon of Tulsa and Mrs. Maggie McPeters of Springdale, Ark; five sons, W.N. Withrow of Hutchinson, Kan; MG. Withrow of Hermitt, Cal.; E.W. Withrow of Vandalia, Mo, Everett Withrow of Drummond and Tim Withrow of Gore;  two half-brothers William Dove of Chicago, and Joe Dove of Keens, Ill; and two half-sisters Mrs. Lou Lathrop of Bluford, Ill. And Mrs. Ella hill of Leedy, Okla.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Moores Funeral Home.
1940 Robert Kennedy in Mt. Vernon, IL age 73.  The son of John & Ceceila Kennedy was born in Metropolis, IL in 1867.  He was the husband of Edith Maulding.  Robert is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IL.

1945 Nathan Butler son of Varderman & Candace (Gentle) Butler in Jefferson Co., IL age 72. He was born in Illinois in 1873.  Nathan married Bessie Irwin and they had three sons: Earl, Ernest and James.

1994 Charles Landreth age 66 in Flora, IL.  He was born in 1928 the son of Leland & Aileen (Harper) Landreth.  

2006 Victor Mohorovich, husband of Genevieve Robertson age 94.  He was born in 1911 and is buried in Pin Oak Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.

2009 Edward Dale Colclasure, 81 of Burnt Prairie, died at 2:28 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired welder and worked for Material Service Corporation for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home, in Fairfield with burial in the Burnt Prairie Cemetery.  Military rites will performed at graveside.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m Tuesday.
Mr. Colclasure was born in Wayne County on Sept. 21, 1928, the son of Clarence and MaryBelle (Fitzgerald) Colclasure.
He was married to Hazel Rudesill of Burnt Prairie on Jun 17, 1949.  She survives.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Ed Colclasure Jr. of Meadowlands, Minn.; Bob Colclasure of Romeoville; four daughters, Debbie (Jim) Robb of Essex; Cheryl (Scott) Head of Mt. Vernon; Angie (Ben) Anselmo of Millbrook; Kim (Curt) Hill of Springfield; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters Laura, Delores, Irene, Iva and twin sister Genell.
