1710 Hannah (Little)
Tilden the daughter of Thomas & Ann (Warren) Little was born in Plymouth,
MA ca. 1637. She married Stephen Tilden in 1661 and had at least one son
Stephen. She died in Marshfield, MA age
73.
1725 Dea. Samuel Rockwell, Jr., son of Samuel Rockwell and Mary Norton born in Windsor, CT. 1694/5 he married Elizabeth Gaylor daughter of John & Mary (Drake) Gaylord in Windsor, CT. They had at least four children: Elizabeth, Samuel, William and Matthew. Inscription: Here Lieth the Body of Mr. Sam'll Rockwell He was Chosen Feb'ry 1716 in the Place of a Deacon and Departed This Life May the 13th 1725 in the 58 Year of his Age
1952 Clarence Colclasure
of Fairfield 68, Fairfield policeman, died suddenly at his home on West King
street about 2:45 o’clock Tuesday morning from a heart attack.
Mr. Colclasure suffered his first attack about 4:30 Monday afternoon. He had apparently been in the best of health until that time. He had spent most of the day working in his garden.
The body was removed to the Nale Funeral home but on Tuesday evening it was returned to the family home.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Nale chapel on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. E. M. Leckrone. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
Clarence, son of John and Laura Colclasure was born in Louisville, Ill., on April 30th, 1886. He spent his early life in Clay county, later moving to Fairfield.
He was united in marriage to Mary Fitzgerald on March 1st 1907 and to this union ten children were born. His wife and four children, James, and Genelle Colclasure, Iva Erkman and an infant daughter, preceded him in death.
He was again married on October 23rd 1948 to Mrs. Leona Hunter Stanley of this city.
Mr. Colclasure had served on the police force here the past seven years.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.
Surviving are his widow and six children: Mrs. Harry Johnson of Fairfield; Vernie Colclasure of Lamont; Verlie Colclasure, Lowell Colclasure, Mrs. Harvey Burton and Dale Colclasure of Fairfield; two step-children, Mrs. Dorothy Belangee of Fairfield, and Mrs. Jack Cantwell of Peoria; a sister, Mrs. Mary Long, of Freeland, Mich.; 31 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
1976 Rufus Lathrop, 73, a Wayne City man, died in the Union County Hospital in Anna.
Mr. Lathrop was born in Wayne County Feb. 28,1903, the son of Joel and Lula Dove Lathrop. He was never married.
Surviving are two brothers Bernard and Raymond; four sisters, Tressie Lathrop, Zelphia Shelton, Ruby Shelton, and Gertie Shaw.
Services were conducted at the Richardson Chapel in Wayne City with burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery.
