1852 Catherine (Bailey) Saltzman in Pulaski Co., MO age 85. Born
in 1767 she married Peter Saltzman in 1802 in Kentucky. The couple had four children: Daniel, John,
William and Jessie. The family moved to
Pulaski Co., MO circa 1835.
1923 Anna (Osborn)
Richardson age 28 the daughter of Louis & Idella (Robertson) Osborn in
Jefferson Co., IL. She was born in Wayne
Co., IL In 1894 and married Delbert Richardson in 1912, they had three
children: Raymond, Melvin and Laylen.
She is buried in Salem / Mateer Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.
1961 Merit
Lathrop was born May 4, 1890 in Petty township to Albert and Otealiz Hostettler
Lathrop, where he spent his entire life as a farmer.
He was united in marriage to Fern Petty Dec. 31st, 1916, and to this union three children were born, Mervin, R. 1; Kathryn Mills of Oklahoma City and Evelyn Prouty of Indianapolis; also eight grandchildren, namely, Pamela, Theresa and Cecelia Mills, Debbie, Genie, Patty and Michael Prouty and Craig Lathrop. Two brothers Dennis and Dempy and a sister Vevia Wagner, also survive.
He was converted and united with Prairie Chapel Chruch in 1914. He was a kind and loving companion and father. He will be sorely missed by his family and relatives.
He passed away at his home on May 12, 1961 at the age of 71 years and 8 days.
Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sivert Funeral Home with Rev. LaVerl Cook officiating, assisted by Rev. Lloyd Howard.
Burial was made in the Sumner Cemetery.
1996 Lucille Geneva Rainwater 86, of Channahon and formerly of Bluford died 3:50 a.m. May 12, 1996, at the home of her son Lowell in Channahon.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rainwater was born April 4, 1910, in Bluford, a daughter of Oscar and Helena (Butler) Reece. April 18, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, she married Earl Rainwater, who died Sept. 21, 1989.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Buss Hart officiating. Burial will be in East Hickory Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rainwater is survived by one daughter Wanda Hill and husband Lester of elwood; two sons, Lowell Lee Rainwater of Channahon and Gale Rainwater and wife Clarabelle of Buffalo; eight grandchildren, Anita Vestie and husband Chuck of Canyon Lake, Texas, Shelia [?] Rainwater of Buffalo, Sherry Wilda and husband Wayne of Morris, Sharon Olsen and fiancé Richard of Channahon, Edward Rainwater of Saintee, Calif., Rick Hill and wife Amy of Braidwood, Rod Hill and wife Teresa of Fairfield and Gary Hill and wife Melissa of Elwood; six great-grandchildren, Stacie Laysalle of Canton, Nichole Wilda of Morris, David Rainwater of Buffalo, Jason Hill of Braidwood, Nicholas Hill of Elwood and Alec Hill of Elwood; and one great-great-granddaughter, Katlin Laysalle of Canton.
She was a member of Church of God in Keenes.
Mrs. Rainwater was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Michael Wayne Hill, daughter-in-law Mary Alma Rainwater, three sisters and two brothers.
