| Don Lathrop and me sharing research a long time ago |
I don't remember how we started corresponding about Lathrop genealogy, but we had a great time working on genealogy research. Eventually we met and Don came to our house (above) and we got to go through all the photocopies, books and pictures. Our first common ancestor is Levi & Louisa (Draper) Lathrop. They had eleven children, two of whom were Joel and George born two years apart in Lawrence County, IL. Joel moved to Wayne County, IL but did stay in touch with family members in Lawrence County throughout his lifetime. George stayed in Lawrence County married Rosa Petty and they had six children one of which was Don's dad William.
