Perkins age 76 in Ipswich, MA. He was
born in England in 1624 the son of John & Judith (Gater) Perkins. He immigrated to Massachusetts in 1630 and
married Elizabeth Lovell in 1648. They
had nine children. He married 2) Demaris
Robinson ca. 1680.
1893 Sarah
(Anderson) Gurley age 31 in Wayne Co., IL.
The daughter of Stephen & Polly (Withrow) Anderson was born in Wayne
Co., IL in 1861. She married Henry
Gurley in 1887 in Wayne Co., IL and they had two children. She is buried in Bailey Cemetery in Wayne
Co., IL.
1987 Mrs. Maedell Whitlow, 59, of
Fairfield, wife of Fairfield Park Superintendent Chester Whitlow died at 10:50
Tuesday Jan. 27, 1987 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney following an
extensive illness. According to family
members, she had been suffering for some time from bad ciculation and had a leg
amputated in recent weeks. She had also
suffered a stroke following the amputation.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Nale's Funeral Home
with Bro. Sam Stewart and Bro. Larry Hucker officiating. Burial will follow in Koontz Cemetery in
Fairfield. Visitation will be held at
the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Whitlow was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Fairfield, the daughter of Harry
B. and Laura (Colclasure) Johnson. She
married Chester Whitlow Mar. 27, 1944, in Fairfield. She grew up in Fairfield, attending schools
here. In earlier years she was an
employee of Chefford Manufacturing.
While living in Joliet from 1952 until 1963, she was employed as a
waitress and did factory work. She was a
member of the First Church of God in Fairfield and was a housewife. Among survivors are her husband Chester, of
Fairfield; one son, Gary of Robinson; one daughter, Mrs. Janice Ellis, of
Fairfield; her mother, Laura Johnson Murray of Fairfield; one brother, Guy
Johnson, of Fairfield; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, her father, and one brother. was
born in Fairfield, IL in 1927. She
married Chester Whitlow in 1944 in Fairfield, IL. They had three children.
