Mary Maulding Robertson

Birthdays: 

1847 Mary Maulding in Hamilton Co. IL the daughter of Andrew & Hester (Hopkins) Maulding.  She died 1910 in Wayne Co. IL and is buried in Salem / Mateer Cemetery.

1880 William Robertson in Fairfield, IL the son of Amos & Sarah (Warren) Robertson.  He died in 1882.

1908 William Spry, son of John & Josephine (Summers) Spry.  He died the same day.

 

1914 Ida Robertson in Grand Valley, CO the daughter of Amos & Lula (Cravens) Robertson.  She died 2003 in Hanford, CA.

Marriages:

1844 Leonard Gurley & Nancy Warren in Massac Co., IL.  Leonard born 1823 in North Carolina was the son of William & Polly (?) Gurley.  Nancy the daughter of Levi & Polly (Farley) Warren was born in Indiana in 1825.  They were living in Wayne Co. IL by 1850.  She and Leonard had six children.  Leonard ran a store near Johnsonville, IL, a place people gathered on Saturdays.  Men would fight for entertainment.  In one of these fights Leonard was stabbed by his opponent.  There was no doctor nearby, so Nancy cleaned the wound and sewed him up.  Nancy died ca. 1855.  Leonard married Susanna Morehead in 1857, see entry for September 5^th.  Leonard died 1870 in Wayne Co. IL

1907 John Robertson & Rose Moore.  John born 1881 in Wayne Co., IL was the son of James & Mary (Maulding) Robertson.  Rose the daughter of Edward & Nancy (Jordan) Moore was born 1889 in Jefferson Co. IL .  They had 13 children.  John died in Wayne Co., IL in 1967.  Rose died in Wayne Co. IL in 1976.  They are buried in Salem / Mateer Cemetery in Wayne Co. IL.
