Catherine b. 1807 Germany, d. 4 Feb. 1878 in White Co. IL.

They immigrated to US with children, stopping in Holmes Co. OH, Posey Co. IN and then White Co. IL. They divorced. Who were their parents? What part of Germany did they live in?

Their son Jacob Jr. b. 5 May 1835 Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, d. 13 Aug. 1908 White Co. IL.
He married 1) Eva Magdalena Beckendahl and 2) Fredericka Probst, 27 April 1876 in Posey Co. IN. Fredericka Propst md. 1) Michael Dietz in Posey Co. IN. There is an error on the marriage certificate due to misunderstanding of interpreter. They used her sister's name, Louisa.

Fredericka Probst b. 30 July 1845 Prussia, d. 31 May 1913. Probable parents are Andrew and Sophia ? Probst. Andrew b. 1829 Prussia, d? Sophia ? b. 1820 Prussia, d?

Miller / Crissel

Michael Miller lived in Lincoln Co. NC. His daughter Mary md. Andrew Crissel Sr.

Any ideas about Michael's parents? His wife? Andrew's parents?

More than likely, Michael was of German descent and probably a migrant from the Pennsylvania area.

Peter Saltzman / Salsman b. KY, d. MO. Lived in Grayson Co. KY. Who did he marry?

He had a daughter Susannah b. ? d. 1880 Middleton [dead town], Wayne Co. IL. She married 1) John Hopkins b. ? d. 1834 Hamilton Co. IL. She md. 2) Samuel Bradford. She's buried in Farnsworth / Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wayne Co. IL.

Robertson / Clark

David Robertson (can you get any more vague?) b. 1 January 1800 in VA, d. 15 October 1872 Wayne Co. IL, md. Rebecca Clark in Gallia Co. OH. He may have been born in the part of Virginia that is now West Virginia. They lived in Lawrence Co. OH until about 1842 when David and his two brothers rafted down the Ohio River to Illinois. They first settled in Sangamon Co. IL and then moved south to Wayne Co.

Parrish / Perry

Edward Parrish b. 1753 - 1762 NC, d. 25 Jan. 1843 Putnam Co. IN, md. ca. 1788/89 Susan ? Family seems to have lived around Warren County, NC. They moved with their family to Rowan Co. NC before leaving for Indiana.

Their son Ezekiel Parrish b. ca. 1786 in Rowan Co. NC, d. 1829 Putnam Co. IN, md. Temperance Perry in NC. Temperance is found living with her son Ezekiel in Illinois. Temperance is said to have been the daughter of Jeremiah "Redhead" Perry, but I cannot find proof of this. This is the Perry family that lived at Cascine near Louisberg in Franklin Co. NC.

He moved around quite a bit and didn't stay with Elizabeth and his family.

They were the parents of John Gentle b. 11 May 1816 Washington Co. IN, d. 30 November 1874 Jefferson Co. IL. John moved lived in Putnam Co. IN and Edgar Co. IL before moving to Jefferson Co. Elizabeth Gentle lived with his sister in Indiana. Several members of the family moved to Jefferson Co. IL. Did Elizabeth?

Miner Butler b. 1823 in KY how vague! d. in IL and is buried in Laird Cemetery in Jefferson County. The stone is gone. He married ????? He might be related to the Butlers out of northern Tennessee that moved into Wayne Co. IL.

Harbert / Wallick

Ebenezer Harbert b. 25 Dec. 1770 in NJ or PA. d. 16 Sept. 1846 in Johnson Co. IN. He married Mary Magdalene Wallick in Calisle, Cumberland Co. PA. nd. They had a daughter Catherine b. ca. 1790 in PA. She married Thomas Draper ca. 1820.

Draper / Breeden

Looking for the parents of Thomas Draper and his wife Priscilla (maybe Druscilla) Breeden. They were married 4 Aug. 1780 in Botetourt Co. VA. They were probably born about 1760 or so.

At that time Botetourt took in other counties too, so I'm not sure where they lived. Can't find any evidence that they stayed in the county or were from there. There are some Drapers in the 1790 census up in Shenandoah County.

Elkanah Lathrop

b. November 9, 1754 in Norwich CT, son of Ezra and Charity (Perkins) Lathrop. He wandered off to northern Vermont and has hiding out ever since. I have found some records about him in Richford, Vermont. His son Russell and his daughter got married there to members of the Janes family. I believe Elkanah ended up living in Canada. I have no idea who he married or how many times he married. Anybody got any ideas?
