Possibilities:


1654 - New Kent County created from a portion of York County. 

1685 - Carlow, Ireland - a John Edmund Nowlin born.

1695 - James Nowlin/Nowlen was brought to tidewater Virginia before 25 Oct. 1695 under the headright system by Ralph Wormeley, Esquire, Secretary of State Virginia.  

1708 - Stephen Nowlin, son of James & Sarah (-?-) Nowlin born.  Some people say she was Sarah Ward and claim that James & Sarah were Molly's parents.  I'm not finding evidence of that yet. 

1719 - Hanover County was created from the St. Paul's Parish section of New Kent County. The James River forms the southern boundary of Henrico. Priddy Meeks born in Hanover County in 1746, his mother was Molly Nowlin. 

1720 - August 17 - Henrico Shire - James Nowlin patented 282 acres along Beaverdam Creek on the north side of the James River for 30 shillings. 

1728 - Goochland County created from a portion of Henrico Shire.

1728 to 1739 - James Nowlin appointed and served as surveyor of the river and the bridge over Beaverdam Creek.  

1736 - James Nowlin patented 366 acres in the fork of the branches of Byrd Creek in Goochland County. 

1739 - Goochland County - James Nowlin patented 300 acres on Beaverdam Creek. 

1749 - Oct. 5 - James Nowlin wrote his will, listed as Nowling

1749/50 - March 20 - James Nowlin's will went into probate.


1791 Goochland County, VA - Stephen, son of James & Sarah (-?-) Nowlin, died.
