Maryland Aug. 19, 1718 - Thomas Draper of St. James, Westminster, plasterer aged 17 bound to John Dykes to serve 4 years.  Thomas born 1701.

Maryland Nov. 1732 - Edward Draper bound to William Burge

1768 - a John Draper served in Virginia, may be the same John Draper as above.

1774 - a John Draper served as an ensign in colonial wars or American Revolution, received 2000 acres

1776-1781 - a John Draper served as a captain in American Revolution

1779 - Montgomery Co., Virginia road crew - James Montgomery, Joseph Montgomery, Samuel Draker / Draper?, James Finley, John Newell, John Lowther & James Allison view a possible road by Skaggs' place commonly called the old ferry or by the Dunker Bottom than that at present occupied by Col. Ingles. 

1782 - Rockbridge Co., Virginia - taxes an Abram Draper appeared on James Douthat's list.  He was head of household and owned no slaves. 

1785 - Montgomery Co., Virginia - John Draper received 700 lbs. of tobacco for 1 old wolf

1785 - Montgomery Co., Virginia - John Draper Sr. allowed 2 young and 1 old wolf head

1798 - Montgomery Co., Virginia - John Draper granted license to keep an ordinary at Drapers Ferry
