According to a biographical sketch of Elizabeth's son John the family left Virginia and moved to Ohio ca. 1828. They moved to Holmes County, Ohio in 1829 and then on to Lawrence County, Indiana. In the fall of 1839 the family moved again this time to Effingham County, Illinois and the next year they moved to Clay County, Illinois where Elizabeth died in November 1843.
