This indenture made the twenty-eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy eight. Between Isaac Zane of the county
of Frederick and commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and Henry Brill of said county of the other part. Witnesseth that and in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money of Virginia to the said Isaac Zane in hand ---- paid by the said Henry Brill at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and therefore doth release ---- and discharge the said Henry Brill his Executor and Administrators by these presents he the said Isaac Zane hath granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said Henry Brill (in his actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain and sale to him thereof made by the said Isaac Zane for one whole year by Indenture bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these presents and by force of the statute for transferring uses into ---- possession) and his heirs a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on the drains of Cedar Creek in the said Isaac Zane by deed from the Right Honorable Thomas Lord Fairfax bearing the date 16th day of October 1775 and bounded as follows: Beginning at two white oaks at John Richards line and extending thence S 33 W ninety poles to two Spanish Oaks thence N 57 W sixteen poles to a pine thence S 33 W twenty four poles to a white oak and hickory at James Seares line thence with the same S 15 E ninety two poles to a white oak thence S 75 W twelve poles to a Spanish Oak in the line extending thence S 9 W fifty four poles to a Spanish Oak thence N 49 E one hundred and eighty four poles to a white oak thence N 10 W one hundred poles to a pin and hickory and thence N 59 W forty five poles to the beginning containing one hundred and twenty four acres and all houses buildings orchards ways watercourses profits commodities hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises hereby granted or any part thereof belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders unto issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest use trust property claim an demand whatsoever of him the said Isaac Zane of in and to the said premises and all deeds evidences and writings touching or in anywise concerning the same To have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed and all and singular other the premises hereby granted and release and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Henry Brill his heirs and assigns forever and he the said Isaac Zane ---- at the time of sealing and delivery of these presents is seized of a good sure perfect and indefensible estate of inheritance in [fee] simple of and in premises hereby granted and released and that he hath good ----- and lawful and absolute authority to grant and convey the same to the said Henry Brill in manner and form aforesaid and that the said premises now are and so forever hereafter shall remain and be free and clear of and from all former and other gifts grants bargains sales sower right and title of sower judgements executions title troubles charges and incumbrances whatsoever made done committed or suffered by the said Isaac Zane or any other person or persons whatsoever (the quitrents hereafter to ---- due and payable to the Chief Lord of the ---- his heirs ---- and assigns for and in respect of the premises only excepted and ----) And lastly that the said Isaac Zane and his heirs all and singular the premises hereby granted and released with the appurtances unto the said Henry Brill his heirs and assigns against hi the said Isaac Zane and his heirs and ll and every other person or persons whatsoever shall warrant and forever defend by these presents. 1787, October 16 - Old Furnace, Frederick County, VA. Rev. Christian Streit recorded in his diary that he visited Old Furnace and baptized a person. Henry Brill was in attendance.
1787, December 15 - Old Furnace, Frederick County, VA. Rev. Christian Streit visited again and recorded in his diary that Henry Brill was elected deacon of the church. This appears to be the St. John's Lutheran Church.
1792, September - Augusta Co., VA - Miles vs. Henry Brill
I, Henry Brill of Heidelburg Township County of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, yeoman, bond to Miles and C. 4th June 1783. This may be the same Henry.
1807 - Aug. 26 - Frederick Co., VA - a Henry Brill stood bond for Catherine Brill to marry John Tewalt. This could be his son Henry or Catherine could be his daughter.

1814, May 27 - Frederick County, VA - Henry wrote his will:
In the name of God, Amen. I, Henry Brill of the County of Frederick and the state of Virginia being weak of body but sound of mind and disposing memory for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate it has pleased God to bless me with - I give and bequeath the same in manner following. That is to say 1st I desire that after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses. I desire my remaining estate both real and personal to be divided amongst my children or their heirs in manner herein after directed. 2nd I give to my son Michael Brill the sum of ten pounds. 3rd I give to my son Henry Brill all my waggon maker tools of every description and five pounds to be paid him in money. 4th I leave to my granddaughter Betsy Ann White one new spinning wheel and four dollars to be paid her when she comes to the age of eighteen years. I also give to my grandson Joseph White six dollars to be paid to him at the age of twenty one years. 5th It is my will and desire that as soon as convenant after my deceas that all my estate both real and personal be sold to best advantage and after paying my just debts and the above leagaseys (sic) that the balance be equally divided amongst all my children their heirs executors and administrators - And lastly I make and constitute my sons Michael Brill and Henry Brill executors of this my last will and testament revoking and disannulling all others in writing or otherwise pronouncing this to be my last will and testament - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and this twenty seventy day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen. Poker then with his line N 35 3/4 W 42 poles to a white oak corner to said Brile then with his line N 14 W 100 poles to two chestnut oaks Briles corner then N 63 W 58 poles to a white oak ---- corner in Orndorff line thence with ---- line N 74 3/4 E 87.8 poles to a hickory and black oak on the side of the lick S 67 1/2 E 74 poles to a white oak on the side of sd lick corner to Orndorff and thence S 20 3/4 W 62 poles to the beginning containing 81 3/4 acres therein two pattents both date the 13th day of July 1813 containing in all 106 acres and all the privileges and appurtenances thereon . . .
