1880 Louisville Twp., Clay Co., IL - age 12 living with her William father and siblings. Her mother had passed away.
1900 Larkinsburg Twp., Clay Co., IL - wife of Wakeman Fitzgerald she was 31 and is listed as having had six children and only four living.
1910 Hoosier Prairie Twp., Clay Co. IL - living with her husband and seven children ages 2 months to 20 years old.
1920 Iola, Clay Co., IL - living with Wakeman, six children and their grandson Harold.
1930 - not found on census, Wakeman was living with his niece by marriage. America was not living with them. They were separated for a time.
1940 Sailor Springs, IL - America is 72 living with Wakeman again. She is said to have a 4th grade education.
Sometime between 1940 and 1943 Wakeman was put in the Illinois State Mental Hospital at Anna, IL and America moved to Fairfield to live with their daughter Marybelle (Fitzgerald) Colclasure.
