In Memoriam - December 15th

1874 Agnes (Jones) Goodnight in Henderson Co., IL age 74.  She was the wife of John Goodnight and they had six children: Elizabeth, Mary, Martha, Amanda, Thomas and Frances.  She is buried in the Old Bedford Cemetery in McDonough Co., IL.

1895 James Crumbacher age 59 he was born in Ohio in 1836.  James married Nancy Gentle and they had eight children: Sara, Edward, Albert, Mary, Candace, Lillie, Elzora and John. 

1950 Richard Bergeson, 15, son of Walter and Edith Shaw Bergeson of here, died at 4:30 a.m. today in Rochelle Community Hospital, where he underwent surgery Dec. 8. An eighth grade student at Preston Elementary School here, he was born Sept. 8, 1950. Survivors include his parents, two brothers Edward Andrew 14, and Randy Darrell, 9; two sisters, Connie Denice, 12, and Lona Nadine, 8; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Bergeson, Rochelle and his maternal grandfather Vern Shaw, Wayne City. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Rochelle Foursquare Church, Rochelle, the Rev. Vernon Rayphole, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlasn Cemetery, north of Creston. Friends may call Thursday evening in the Unger Funeral Home. Rochelle. 

1995 Verna (Piper) Lathrop age 76 was born in Sumner, IL in 1919.  She married Mervin Lathrop and they had at least one son, Craig.  Verna is buried in Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, IL.
