In Memoriam - September 13th

1838 Jane (Bruce) Fitzgerald in Gibson Co., IN age 80, she was born in Orange Co., VA in 1758.  Jane married James Fitzgerald and they had at least 12 children; Johnson, John, James, Reuben, Frances, Mary, Nancy, Sarrah, Derritt and Stephen.

1846 Mourning (Maulding) Anderson in Hamilton Co., IL age 61 the daughter of Ambrose & Peggy (?) Maulding she was born in 1784.  Mourning married John Anderson and had at least one child: Permelia.  She is buried in Rathbone Cemetery in Hamilton Co., IL.

1874 Levi Lathrop son of Ezra & Abi (Potter) Lathrop died in Decatur Co., IN age 42.  He was born in 1832.  Levi married Eliza ---- and they had three children: Lewis, Kate and Maggie.  He is buried in Southlawn Cemetery in Greensburg, IN.



1892 Francis Peters age 72 in Champaign Co., IL, the son of Francis & Mary (?) Peters was born in Kentucky in 1820.  He married 1) Jennett Runyon and they had two children: John and Martha; he married 2) Sarah Runyon, Jennett’s sister, and they had eight children: George, Sarah, James, Mary, Robert, Louisa, Albert and Emma.  Francis is buried in Bethel-Harris Cemetery in Seymour, IL.

1935 Amanda (Gentle) Richardson age 80 in Jefferson Co., IL.  She was born in 1854 the daughter of John & Mary (Parrish) Gentle and married Edward Richardson.  They had eight children: Catherine, Lillie, Orley, John, Myrtle, Bertha, Delbert and Ross.  She is buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Jefferson Co., IL.

1942 Bonnie (McWilliams) Lathrop, the wife of William Lathrop died in Richland Co., IL age 33.  She was born in 1909.  Bonnie and William had one son Donovan.  Bonnie is buried in Antioch Cemetery in Claremont, IL.

1947 Billy Whitlow 1 day old son of Chester & Maedell (Johnson) Whitlow.  He is buried in Koontz Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.

1975 Chancy Erkman in Riverside, CA, age 69.  He was born in 1906 the son of William & Kate (Spencer) Erkman.

1993 Robert E. Colclasure 43 of 400 Wilson street died at 7:25 a.m. Monday Sept. 13, 1993 at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital emergency room following a heart attack.
Mr. Colclasure was stricken at his home.  He had not been ill before and a coroner’s inquiry was conducted, with the finding of the cause of death as a heart attack.
He had worked at Roadmaster in Olney.
Funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Johnson Funeral Home, with Bro. Carroll Kakac officiating.  Interment was in Maple Hill cemetery.  A visitation was held at the Johnson Chapel Tuesday evening.
He was born in Wayne County Jan. 27, 1950, the son of Clyde and Paula McKitrick Colclasure.
Surviving are his mother, Paula Colclasure of Fairfield; three sons Robert Colclasure II, of Fairfield; Terry L. Colclasure, Fairfield; and Anthony J. Colclasure, Fairfield; one daughter Regina G. Colclasure, Fairfield, one sister, Lorie Smith of Mt. Vernon; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Tyler of Fairfield; and Anna Green of Cisne; and a step-grandmother Edith Colclasure of Plainfield, Ill.
