John the son of John & Elizabeth (?) Blackburn was born in Loughall,
Ireland ca. 1675. His parents were
English Quakers who moved to Armagh to join the Quaker community there. Rachel was the daughter of William &
Elinor (?) Morton born 1694 in Creenagh, Ireland. She and John immigrated to the United States
and settled in Menhallen, PA with other Quakers. The couple had 8 children. John died in Menahllen in 1752. Rachel died there after 1768. Their descendants include the Blackburns in
Fairfield, IL.
