Went to Kansas City to meet the newest member of the family, Mary Jo Spreitzer who married Ryan Holler on July 21st. Congratulations to the happy couple. Had a great time.

While in Kansas City we visited the grave of Samuel Clark who is buried in north Kansas City behind the Red Lobster. It's a fairly large cemetery. The monument is for Samuel, his daughter Hannah, her husband Daniel Carpenter and many of the Carpenter children.
After the wedding it was on to Delphos, Kansas to find the grave of Mary Ellen (Parks) Edwards. We missed it the first day. It was 108 under the pines. We went north into Nebraska and came back the next day to try again. Mary Ellen's grave is marked Ellen M. wife of Solomon Edwards and she is buried next to her daughter's family, the Joneses. Her brother and many members of his family are buried in the Delphos Cemetery as well, so I have lots of photos. We stopped in Nelson, Nebraska and Minneapolis, Kansas to check for Solomon's death certificate, but didn't come up with anything. Solomon is still MIA. Will be writing for a death certificate in Nebraska shortly.
We drove south through Wichita and on to Kellyville, Oklahoma, just southwest of Tulsa and Salpulpa to look for Charles Speer's grave. He is buried next to his daughter Bertie McAlister.
Then it was on to Texas County, Missouri, which has to be the largest Missouri county. Arroll is a crossroads with a church and a few homes. There we found several small gravestones with no epitaphs left. One of these is supposed to be that of Peter Saltzman.
Lastly we drove to Eureka, Missouri just southwest of St. Louis to look for Ezra Lathrop. He is said to be buried in Allen Cemetery which is about a mile from the I-44. There was no stone that we could find. Some of the stones had been turned over.
