Biographical sketch of Henry's son Patrick Williamson from the History of Jefferson Co., IL
Patrick Williamson, farmer, PO Belle Rive, was born August 14, 1829, in Wayne Co., Ill. His father Henry Williamson was born in North Carolina, but died in this county, a true type of our old pioneers. The mother of our subject Nancy (Nothen) Williamson was the mother of nine children. Our subject came to this county when quite young. He never enjoyed the advantages of an education and followed farming for a livelihood. Mr. Williamson lives on his farm of 240 acres of land. He is no more a young man and although life's embers are burning low, he yet, with a youthful heart loves to recall the days of the old pioneers. In political matters he is connected with the Democratic party.Census / Deeds / Taxes:
1790 possibly in the home of Abram Williamson in Essex County, VA, Henry would be 1 year old.
1800 not found on census
1810 possibly in the home of Abraham Williamson in Frederick Co. VA, or living with a Jarvis Williamson in Richmond, VA. Henry would be 20.
1820 not found on census
1830 Illinois, Wayne Co. - age 41 living probably with Nancy and nine children.
1835 not found on census
1840 Illinois, Wayne Co. - age 51 living probably with Elizabeth and five children. There were three people engaged in agriculture. The following may be our Henry's family:

- 1 female age 20-30 - Elizabeth

1850 Illinois, Wayne Co. - a Henry Wilson appears on the census and it is probably Henry Williamson. Henry "Wilson" said that he was born in North Carolina. He is married to Elizabeth and there are seven children in the house. Several of the children are probably Elizabeth's by a first marriage.
1855 not found in the Jefferson Co., IL census. There is a Henry Williamson living in Washington County about the same age.
1855 - Deeds
Oct. 17 Minor & Mary (Williamson) Butler to her father Henry Williamson, 40 acres in Pendleton Twp., Jefferson County for $20.

1858 - Deed Jan. 1 Henry sold to his son Jarvis 3 1/2 acres in Pendleton Twp. in Jefferson County, IL.
1860 Illinois, Jefferson Co. - age 71, Henry said that he was born in Virginia. He is a farmer with $400 of real estate. There are seven children in the household.
1865 Illinois, Washington co. - would be age 81, a Henry Williamson living there age 70-80 with 2 males 10-20, 1 female under 10, 1 female 20-30 and 1 female 40-50. This may be our Henry Williamson.
Probate:
Henry Williamson left no will in Jefferson County. His estate did go into probate when on Aug. 3, 1869 Wiley Green petitioned for letters of administration with Jarvis Williamson as security. At some point he was removed from being administrator of the estate because he filed a report as the "former administrator of the Estate of Henry WmSon" in the Feb. 1870 court session. At this time Wiley filed a petition under oath to be reinstated as administrator and he says that Henry died "on or about the 12th day of June 1869 leaving personal estate in said county & state amounting to the sum of $574.00 which may be lost or destroyed if speedy care be not taken of the same."
Wiley was granted his petition because the court found that "more than 60 days has expired since the death of the said Henry Williamson & that the said Wiley Green is a creditor of said Estate and that no person has applied for Letters of Administration in said estate.
And it was at this point that the courthouse closed at 5:00 and I had to leave. I will need to go back to the Jefferson County courthouse to continue the trail of the probate reports filed by Wiley Green.

I'd be curious if you ever find anyting more one Henry Williamson Sr. I'm decended from his son Patrick Nolan, but Henry is where my search hits a road block. I know some people have thought his father was Abraham Jr. but I've not found any proof to back it up.
