Levi the son of Russell & Cynthia (Powell) Lathrop was born 1820 in
Franklin Co., VT. Louisa the daughter of
Thomas & Catherine (Harbert) Draper was born in Indiana in 1825. Levi & Louisa moved to Johnson Co., IN
shortly after they married. Their first
five children were born there. They
moved to Lawrence Co., IL ca. 1851 and their remaining six children were born
there. Louisa died in 1867 at age 41 and
is buried in Lone Tree/ Prairieton Cemetery. Levi died at age 52 in 1873. He is buried at Lone Tree / Prairieton
Cemetery. The youngest three children
including Joel Lathrop were minors and raised by their older siblings.
