1751 Rowland Powell
son of Rowland & Mary (Richardson) Powell.
He married Mary Janes daughter of Jonathan & Irene (Bradford) Janes
ca. 1773. Mary was born in 1753. They had eleven children, two of whom married Lathrop siblings. They lived in Hartford, VT and moved to
Richford, VT. Rowland was a soldier in
the American Revolution. Mary died in
Richford, VT in 1813 and Rowland died there in 1838. They are buried in the Troy Street Cemetery
in Richford, VT.
While his tombstone indicates that he is Rowland Powell, Jr. He was in reality the fifth to carry the name Rowland Powell. This is one of the easier family lines for me to remember!

She died in 1987.
