1784 Mourning
Maulding daughter of Ambrose & Peggy (?) Maulding. She married John Anderson who came from Kentucky to
this vicinity about 1818. He settled
near the present spillway of the city lake.
His house served as the Seat of Justice for Hamilton County during
formation and until a court building was erected in McLeansboro. Mr. Anderson, born May 10, 1789 in Virginia,
married Mourning Maulding, daughter of Ambrose Maulding. John and Mourning Anderson were buried in the
Rathbone cemetery south of McLeansboro.

Priscilla (Mason) Fitch was born 1675 in Norwich, CT. They were first cousins. The couple had ten children. Anne died 1715 in Lebanon, CT at age 40. She is buried in Fox Cemetery in Oakdale,
CT. Joseph married 2) Mary Sherwood ca.
1716 and they had one son. Joseph died Jan
1746/47 in New London, CT and is buried in Raymond Hill Cemetery in Oakdale,

1932 - Elmer Zeller
& Phoebe Wheeler. Elmer, the son of
John & Clara (Erkman) Zeller was born in St. James, AR in 1899. He died in 1971.
