1820 - Kentucky, Fayette Co. age 35 living with Sarah and four children.
1830 - Kentucky, Fayette Co. age 45 living with Sarah and ten children or possibly children and grandchildren.
1840 - Kentucky, Fayette Co., age 55 living with Sarah and 10 children. The family owned four slaves. John is not engaged in farming.
1845 - Illinois, Cass Co., age 60 - a J. Runyon listed with 3 people.
1850 - Illinois, Sangamon Co., age 65 John is living with his daughter Mary's family and two of his children. He is listed as a farmer with real estate holdings valued at $1600.
1850 - Illinois, Christian Co. - a John Runyon bought 137 acres of public domain land in Locust Twp. with a warrant. No proof that this is our John Runyon, but several of his youngest children lived in Christian County.
