April Fool babies:


1649 Elizabeth Perkins daughter of Sgt. Jacob & Elizabeth (Lovell) Perkins

1795 Lydia Johnson in Richland, PA the daughter of Henry & Hanna (?) Johnson.  She died ca. 1846 in Pennsylvania.

1831 Robert Clark son of Samuel & Phebe (Sayre) Clark


1859 David Parks in Marion Co., IL the son of Bezelria & Melinda (Edwards) Parks.  He died in 1948.

1876 Mary Catherine Colclasure daughter of John & Laura (Edwards) Colclasure probably in Clay Co. IL.

1906 – John Wesley Fitzgerald son of Wakeman & America (Wilson) Fitzgerald in Iola, IL.  He died in Evansville, IN in 1996 and is buried in Koontz Cemetery.

Margaret Miller daughter of Earl Miller & Gertrude Vanderwaal

Catherine Quinn the wife of Raymond Oliver 

Bryan Fitzgerald III the son of Bryan & Louise (Barrett) Fitzgerald

Anniversaries:

1899 Amos Thane Robertson & Lula Cravens in Fairfield, IL.  Amos was the son of Amos Sloan & Sarah (Warren) Robertson born 1871 in Fairfield, IL, died 1946 Eagle, CO.  Lula was the daughter of Joseph & Ursula (Howeth) Cravens born 1882 in Fairfield, IL and died 1963 Eagle, CO.  Amos Thane changed his name to Thane E. The couple moved to Grand Valley, CO ca. 1907.  They had 13 children.


1950 Norman Gentle & Betty Wilson – Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gentle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 1.

Norman E. Gentle and the former Betty L. Wilson were united in marriage April 1, 1950, by the late Rev. Marsh Harpole.

Norman is a son of the late Oscar and Nellie Gentle of Bluford.  Betty is a daughter of the late Raymond and Vivian Wilson of Belle Rive.

They are the parents of two daughters Rebecca (Dwight) Catron of Belle Rive and Deanna Gentle of Mt. Vernon.  They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A reception was hosted by their daughters on April 2 at their home in Hawthorne Hills.  The guest register was kept by their granddaughter, Leslie Catron.  Special guests were Marvin and Vivian Scott of Belle Rive, who were their attendants 50 years ago.

The following week, they took a vacation trip to the west.

Betty died 2006 in Mt. Vernon, IL and is buried in Cubb Prairie Cemetery in Jefferson Co., IL.
