This is my will and testament. I bequeath to my eldest daughter Elizabeth Gentle, a promisory note of one hundred dollars accepted by Nicholas Cross her husband, and one hundred and fifty dollars in money; to my daughter Jane Gentle, I bequeath the one half of my house and lot No. 2, Block No. 23 in the Town of Indianapolis, the one one half of my household furniture and the money that may be in my possession, or that may be due and owing me at the time of my decease, as well as a bedding of clothes. In order to raise the one hundred and fifty dollars in money bequeathed to my daughter Elizabeth Gentle, my daughter Jane and son James shall each pay seventy-five dollars to her within one year from the time of my decease. It is further my will and testament, that in the event of the death of any of my said children, the property and money hereby bequeathed, shall decease to their heirs to be equally be divided among them, but in case any of my said children shall die without issue, the property and money bequeathed to the deceased, shall be equally divided between my surviving children and at the their decease to be divided among their respective heirs.
I hereby nominate and appoint Samuel Goldsberry and James Wood of the Town of Indianapolis my lawful executors and administrators.

At first glance this list is of little use to the researcher, it's undated & there are no tithables noted. However, w/ a little sleuthing it would be possible for some one to determine when the list was generated & the number of tithables, horses, etc. for most individuals. Of the first 25 names, 19 appear in the 1787 Montgomery County personal property tax list & 10 appear in the 1790 Wythe County list. (Wythe was created from Montgomery in 1790). This it is most likely that the delinquent list is for either 1788 or 1789. A comparison with those lists & the tax rates should provide the year & allow for the calculation of the number of tithables.
