 16 Nov. 1789: Ayres Gorely of Laurens Co., SC to Reuben Pyles of same place for 80 pounds sold 3314 acres being 6 tracts of land originally granted said Gorely 1 Jan. 1787:
  1. 1317 acres orginally granted 1 Jan. 1787 on a long branch of Town Creek adj. George Miller; Robert Lang; James Gray; David Bowers & David Zubly;
  2. 816 acres originally granted 1 Jan. 1787 on waters of Savannah River adj. Thomas Lamar & Valentine Zinn; 
  3. 188 acres originally granted 1 Jan. 1787 on Little River the NW fork of Savannah River;
  4. 203 acres originally granted 1 Jan. 1787 on Stephens Creek adj. Nichols Minor & Yancy;
  5. 490 acres originally granted 1 Jan. 1787 adj. Hatchess ponds on the new road from Long Cane to Charleston;
  6. 300 acres originally granted 1 Jan. 1787 being on Clarks branch of Savannah River. S/Ayres Gorley, wit: Allen Glover, Wiley Glover, Abbeville Co. SC, who swore by oath 11 May 1793 before Julius Nichols, Junior, JP, Recorded 3 Sep. 1793.

Nov. 1795: Lazarus Gurley of Warren Co., Georgia to John Frazier, Jr. gives as surety 300 acres on Beaverdam Creek adj.  Barton Harrises old place near the head of said creek & Thos. Cotton.  Said Lazarus Gurley shall pay two notes of hand due;
  1. 1 Mar. in 1796 for 17 pounds . . . one half cash & the other half trade &;
  2. due 25 Dec. 1797 one half cash & the other trade.
When notes are paid this deed is null & void. S/ Lazarus Gurley. Wit: Ezekiel McClendon, Van Swearengen, who swore by oath 24 Feb. 1796 before Richard Tutt, JP recorded 24 Feb. 1796.

22 Sep. 1795: Simon Totevine of Edgefield Co. SC to Philip Lamar, for 50 pounds, sold 816 acres originally surveyed 9 Mar. 1786 for Thomas Lamar afterwards elapsed & was granted 1 Jan. 1787 to Ayers Gorley & conveyed to Reubin Pyle who conveyed to said Totevine.  Said land on Savannah River near Horse Creek.  S/ Simon Totevine. Wit: William Nichols, Benjamin Exum, who swore by oath 10 Mar. 1796 before Joseph Hightower, JP, recorded 11 March 1796.
