1851 Albert Lathrop in Richland Co. IL son of Henry & Rachel (Laws) Lathrop, died 1923 in IL. In 1876 he married Otelia Hostettler in Richland Co. They had 9 children. After marriage, Albert came to his present place, buying 200 acres, but has since added to his holdings until he now owns 945 acres in Lawrence County and 540 acres in Arkansas. He has made all of his improvements and has a beautiful home. He has cleared about 400 acres and converted his land into valuable property. According to the Lawrence County, Illinois History, the Lathrops are justly numbered among the most reliable and substantial people of their locality and their friends are almost without number. They have a nice family of young people, all of whom have turned out well, and they have every reason to be satisfied with what they have accomplished.

John Loomis & Elizabeth Scott in Windsor, CT. John was born 1622 in England, the son of
Joseph & Mary (White) Loomis, died 1688 Windsor, CT. He sailed from England with his parents on
the Susan & Ellen in 1638. After
their arrival in Boston, the family settled first in Dorchester, MA for a year
and then moved to Windsor CT. In 1643 John
was granted 40 acres. In 1652 John &
Elizabeth moved with their two sons to Farmington, CT. They returned to Windsor in 1660. They had 13 known children.
