Ted Oran Wilson, 66 of Keenes, Illinois, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with his 3 daughters by his side. Ted was born on June 30, 1957 to Paul Wilson & Ruth (DeJournett) Wilson. 

Ted worked in the Maintenance Department at Walgreens Distribution Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and he was also a farmer. Prior to working at Walgreens, he worked at the picture frame factory in Wayne City, Illinois. He attended Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon.

Ted loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He made sure that his kids & grandkids knew about Jesus and that Jesus loves them.  He loved his family very much and was the best father and grandfather to them. He enjoyed farming, going to auctions, watching crime shows and studying the word of God.

Ted is survived by 3 daughters: Jennifer Moore & husband James of Wayne City, Illinois; Christina Wilson of Keenes, Illinois and Brianna Simpson & husband Allen of Noble, Illinois; 6 grandchildren: A.J. Moore, Kylee Moore, Lily Moore, Logan Moore, Isabella Wilson and Evalon Wilson; and a brother Jack Wilson & wife Beth of Wayne City. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Ruth Wilson, a brother Danny Wilson, and a son Joey Wilson.

Funeral services for Ted Oran Wilson will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, Illinois with Brother Donnie Rector officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Salem Mateer (aka Mateer Davis) Cemetery in Keenes, Illinois. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Claws & Paws Anivmal Rescue Center.
