Norwich, CT son of Rev. James & Priscilla (Mason) Fitch. He married Elizabeth Waterman. John Fitch was a captain in the militia, and
served against the Indians in King Philip’s War, 1675.

1793 Russell Lathrop
in Franklin Co., Vermont son of Elkanah Lathrop, died Sept. 8, 1872 Richland
Co., Illinois. He married Cynthia Powell
in Richford, Vermont in 1815, they had 11 known children. He served in the War of 1812 for which he
received a bounty land grant in Indiana.
The family moved to Decatur County, Indiana in 1837. In 1841 the family moved to Lawrence County,
Illinois. According to Gail Lathrop’s
history, Russell was blind the last several years of his life. Russell lived for a time in his own small
house which was located southwest of the old homestead just north of Amity
Church. He is buried in Prairieton /
Lone Tree Cemetery in Lawrence County, Illinois.
1816 Abraham Colclasure in Indiana, son of John & Rachel (Galbraith) Colclasure, d. 1881
Oskaloosa, Illinois of pneumonia. He
married Catherine Galbreath in Washington Co., Indiana in 1837 and they had 15
children. The family moved to Clay
County, Illinois ca. 1845. He is buried
in Oak Mound Cemetery in Clay County, Illinois.
