Descendants of Henry Bill of Star Tannery:
Henry Brill, according to Winchester records, md. 12/11/1796 Elizabeth Orndorff. They lived east of North Mountain in Frederick county, VA and brought up a family of several children including Abraham, whose Bible record follows. He removed to Hampshire about 1830, having married Caterhine Orndorff. As per deed on record in Romney, he bought land near Capon Springs, but later removed to Timber Ridge, three miles eas of Hooks Mills.
- Abraham/Abram Brill, b. 8/6/1804 son of Henry & Elizabeth md. before 1830 Cathern/Catherine Orndorff, b. 12/14/1809, daughter of Jonathan & Precella Orndorff, all from Frederick county; moved to Hampshire soon after their marriage.
- Jonathan Henry b. 7/6/1830, d. 11/7/1907 at Lehew, md. 3/10/1853 Elizabeth Ann Reid, b. 12/23/1829, d. 5/12/1914, daughter of John Reid. Mr. & Mrs. Jonathan Brill were prominent citizens of their community, leaders in church work at Shiloh and highly respected. The large family of children of the once happy home, all married and now scattered to many states, are spreading the gospel of their good works. They sleep at their beloved Shiloh Cemetery.

- Smith Reid Brill b. 2/23/1862 md. 11/14/1894 Bessie O. Creswell daughter of James Creswell of Hooks Mills. Educated for a teacher, taught for several years successfully in the schools of his district and county, and after a time purchased the Captain David Pugh place, a fine farm near Mrs. Brill's former home where they have since resided, and there they brought up their family. The writer owes much to the memory of Mr. Brill as well as his kind interest in this work. The family are Methodists and Democrats.
- Walton Earl Brill b. 12/19/1895 educated in free schools of Hampshire county, attended the Prepatory School at Keyser, WV and Shepherd College. Taught school in Hampshre up to the time he was drafted for service in the World War. Trained here, he was sent over seas and landed in France a few days before the Armistice. Six months after this he returned to the US. He at once enrolled in Elon College, from which school he graduated and returned home to take up the duties of life.
- Bama Estel Brill b. 1/3/1898, educated in the free schools took a short course in Keyser Prepatory School after which she received employment in the Printing & Engraving Bureau at Washington, DC, which position she still holds, 1937.
- Russell Erwin Brill b. 4/14/1900, educated in the free school of Hampshire county went into employment of the P. & L. Lake Erie Railroad where he is still located 1938.
- Asa Lee Brill, a man of fine Christian character, after marriage removed to Keyser, WV and was employed by the B&O railroad. He is now retired. No children.
- Asberina Brill md. T. Clark La Falette, brother to Baxter, Elias and others, born 1856. They lived for years in Capon Valley on a farm.

Their suburban hom on Morning Side Drive is a very inviting place. Nellie is the youngest daughter of the late John W. & Margaret Brill Spaid, and since the death of the late Dr. Arthur Spaid she is the last of that happy household that once sheltered for two terms, the writer, Nellie and Clarence being students in her school, Nellie's first term. Clarence is the youngest son of Mr. & Mrs. Jonathan Brill.

They lived near Concord, WV until 1894 when he was granted a license to preach, United Brethren Conference, since which time he devoted his life to the ministerial work in Virginia & WV. After retiring from regular work he resided with his son Rev. R.L. Brill in Martinsburg, and did supply work, dying in his sleep. Mrs. Brill survives, Jan. 1937
