History of Gloucester, MA: Rowland Powell recorded land, in 1659, to John Collins, which had the same day been recorded to him by Collins. His name occurs so seldom, that the births of his children may be supposed to indicate the length of time he resided in Gloucester. He had a wife Isabella; and a son Rowland and a daughter, twins, born in 1657; a daughter Mary, born in 1660; and a son Stephen, 1662.
