1562 John Loomis baptized in Thaxted, England son of John & Krysten (Pasfield), died 1619.  He married Agnes ?.  They had 6 children.  In his will he is described as a tailor, he left a rental property with garden worth £40 and a rental stable worth £30.  

1632 Abigail Doane in Plymouth Colony, died 1734 Norwich, Connecticut.  She married Samuel Lathrop in 1690 in Plymouth.

Lonnie & Anna (Erkman) Wheeler ca. 1904

1883 Lonnie Wheeler in White Co. IL son of William & Rebecca (Taylor) Wheeler, died 1956 in Wayne City, IL.  His family ran a sawmill in the river bottoms in White County.  They used a portable train and track to get in and get the logs out.  Lonnie married Anna Erkman in 1904 in White County, IL.  They had 2 children.  On March 27, 1956 he was hit by a train in Wayne City and died.

1944 Verna Ward in Bluford, IL daughter of Harold & Opal (Wollitz) Ward, died 2012.  She is buried in Mt. Zion / Farnsworth Cemetery.

Arthur Shaw son of Herbert & Gertie (Lathrop) Shaw.  We are cousins on both sides of the family.

1871 Amos Thane Robertson in Fairfield, IL son of Amos & Sarah (Warren) Robertson, died 1946 in Eagle, CO.  He changed his name to Thane E. Robertson.  In 1899 he married Lula Cravens in Fairfield, IL.  The couple moved to Grand Valley Colorado ca. 1907.  They had 13 children.

The original of this photo was owned by Louella Newby. She allowed me to make a copy and gave me the names listed below.  Louella was the daughter of Austin Wakefield & Ella (Fraim) Talbert.  The reunion was at their home just north of Wayne City in 1914.  She is #8 being held by George Talbert, in the back row of the right side of the photo. It was the house that Louella lived in as long as I knew her.  It was razed just a few years ago.  

Louella knew loads of family stories and always said that she could tell them any way she wanted as she had outlived everyone who might have another version.  I learned a lot from her and she allowed me to copy several Gurley family photos I wouldn't have otherwise.

Inscription on boot monument: "In memory of the most brilliant soldier of the Continental army, who was desperately wounded on this spot, winning for his countrymen the decisive battle of the American Revolution, and for himself the rank of Major General."
