1726/27 - March 16 - Elizabeth, Essex Co., New Jersey - Mary & her husband Jonas Wood are listed in her father Joseph Morse's will.  Their children Ann, Phebe, Samuel & Jeremiah are also listed. 

1746/47 - Feb. 21 - Elizabeth, Essex Co., New Jersey - a Mary Wood wrote her will:
In the name of God Amen the twenty first day of February in the twentieth year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second King over Great Britain &c. Ano Do. One thousand seven hundred and forty six - seven, I Mary Wood Widdow of Jonas Wood late of the Burrough of Elizabeth in the County of Essex and Province of East New Jersey being weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all once to Die. Do
make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of all I Give and recommend my Soul and Spirit unto Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after mentioned and as touching my Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life. I Give Devise and Dispose of the Same in the way manor and form following
First I do order that my just Debts and Funeral Expences be well and truly paid out of my movable Estate.
Imprimus I Give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Winans his Heirs and assigns the sum of five pounds current money of New Jersey. 
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Susannah Meeker (the wife of Daniel Meeker) five pounds current money of New Jersey together with my mare and side Saddle and one gound (gown) of her own choice. 
Item I give and bequeath unto Jacob Winans (sone of Benjamin Winans) three pounds current money of New Jersey. 
Item I give and bequeath unto my granddater Mary Bond three cows with the half of their increase arrising/arriving (?) when she arrive at the age of Eighteen years togather with all my wareing apparell not heretofore given (the old Cloathes to be made up for her before she arrive at the age of Eighteen years at the discretion of my Exe'rs. The others to be kept for her till she come of age) and also the Goods that is markt M.B. to the Said Mary Bond and to be apprized by my Exe'rs. 
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Jacob Bond and my said grandaughter Mary Bond all the remainder part of my Estate not heretofore given to be equally divided part and part alike between them my said Grand Childred Jacob Bond and Mary Bond only what the Goods markt M.B. before given to the said Mary Bond shall be apprized at by my Exe'rs. shall be Deducted out of the said Mary's half. 
Item I Do order and my will is that if either of my said Gran Children Jacob Bond or Mary Bond should died under age or without Issue (that is if Jacob Bond dies before he arrive at the age of twenty one years or Mary Bond before she arrive at the age of Eighteen years) that then all heroing [herein?] given to both my said Grand Children Jacob and Mary Bond to go to the Survivor or if both should happen to Die under age or without Issue as afors'd that then it go two thirds to my said Daughter Susannah Meeker and one third to my Son Benja:  
And I do ordain and appoint Thomas Clark to be my Sole Executor in this my last Will and Testament and I do order that he take reasonable Sattisfaction for his time and Expen. And I do hereby Revoke and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me in any wise made Rattifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seall the day and yoar first herein above-written.  Signed Sealed Published pronounced and Declared by the sd Mary Wood to be her last will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers.

Be it Remembered that on ye thirteenth day of May One thousand seven hundred and forty seven John Winans and Abraham Clark Jun'r two of the within witnesses personally came before me Thomas Bartow duly authorized to prove will and qualify Executors in New Jersey and they being sworn on the holy Evangelist do Depose that they were present and saw Mary Wood within (admiting they were ----- wrote and ----- to ----- before signing) named sign and seal the within written instrument and heard her publish, pronounce and Declare the same to be her last will and Testament and at the doing thereof the said Testator was of Sound mind and memory to the best of their knowledge and as they believe and that Joseph Conkling was then present and signed as a witness together with the Deponents in the Testators presence. And the said Abraham Clark further saith that he Drew the within Will and the words wrote on the Rasures [erasures?] were done before signing and sealing thereof.

Be it also Remebred that at the Same time Thomas Clark the Executor within named personally came before us and was sworn to the due Execution and performance of the within will and Testament according to Law.
