There was speculation for awhile that this was John Runyon who married Rachel Hyde, however after taking a hard look at Runyon genealogies and records I do not believe they are the parents of John Runyon.

Marcy (Runyon) Badgett b. Dec. 23, 1768, Kingwood, Hunterdon Co., NJ, d. Feb. 1, 1860, buried Shaker Cemetery, Mercer Co., KY, wife of John Badget.  She is the daughter of Phineas & Charity (Coates) Runyon and had a brother John born 1763, d. 1833.  All of Phineas' children entered the Shaker Community and the line died out.  This is not our direct line.
