In Memoriam - October 8th

1884 Evert Boswell 17 month old son of Pullium & Hannah (Robertson) Boswell in Wayne Co., IL.  He is buried in Farnsworth / Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.

1884 Jaily (Hunt) Hunt in Brown Co., IN age 72.  The daughter of Absalom & Hester (Foster) Hunt was born in Bath Co., KY in 1812.  She married John Wesley Hunt in 1829 .  They had at least one daughter Nancy.

1901 John Ehrhardt age 45 in White Co., IL was born in Germany in 1856.  He married Louisa Dietz in 1880 and they had eight children.  Jacob, John, Lena, Clara, Rose, Mary, unnamed son and unnamed daughter.  John is buried in Newman Cemetery in White Co., IL.

1918 John Hays in White Co., IL age 66, he was born in Harlan, KY in 1852.  John married Magdalena Dietz in 1887 and they had ten children: Benjamin, Ruth, Augustus, Lulu, John, James, Mary, Jewel, Verna and Andrew.  John is buried in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield, IL. 

1986 Earl Shelton in Jacksonville, FL age 97.  He was born in 1889 the son of Ben & Agnes (Gaither) Shelton.  Earl married Edith Gurley in 1913 and they were divorced and never had children.  I’ve been told that Earl burned down grandpa Gurley’s barn. Earl went on to become Big Earl of the Shelton Gang.  He is buried in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL.
