In Memoriam March 3rd

1468 William Allgar age 68 the son of William Allgar was born ca. 1400.  He had at least one son, Robert.

1880 James Morehead age 39 the son of Charles & Fanny (Warder) Morehead was born in 1840.

1972 Otto Warren Barnes, 70, was born on January 30, 1902 in Lawrenceville, Illinois and passed away on March 3, 1972 in the LaGrange, Illinois Community Hospital. He was the son of Otto H. and Mary (Fee) Barnes. He married Dorris Hanes and she survived him.
Mr. Barnes attended Milliken University and went on to the University of Chicago where he obtained a Doctorial degree in Law.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois and was past president of the Sertoma Club in Highland, Illinois.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Arthur Warren Barnes, Arlington Heights, Illinois; a daughter, Mary Lou Sommer of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; a brother, Carl Bernes of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services for Otto were held in the chapel of the Emmons Funeral Home with Rev. Byron York officiating. Interment followed in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

1980 Leafa (Hutchinson) Lathrop 92-year-old former Route 1 Sumner resident, died in Olney Care Center, Olney about 6:30 a.m. today.
Born in Lawrence County, June 5, 1887, she was a daughter of W. Albert and Caroline Petty Hutchinson.  Her husband, Dempy Lathrop, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Wendell Lathrop of Charleston and Gail L. Lathrop of Olney; one daughter, Mrs. Audrey McElroy of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Smalley of Sisters, Ore.; one brother Dr. John Hutchinson of Mechanicsville, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lathrop was a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wendesday from Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner, followed by interment in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, west of Sumner.
