Happy Birthday!

1624 – Major William Bradford in Plymouth, MA the son of Gov. William & Alice (Carpenter) Bradford.  He married 1) Alice Richards ca. 1652 and they had ten children 2) Mary (Fitch) Wiswall in 1673 and had 1 son and 3) Mary Wood ca. 1676 and they had four children.  Alice Richards was born 1627 in England and died 1671 in Kingston, MA.  Mary Fitch the daughter of Thomas & Anne (Stacey) Fitch was born in 1643 and died 1675.  Mary Wood died ca. 1715.  William served as representative in Massachusetts government in 1657, was wounded in the Great Narragansett fight in 1675 at age 51 and served as deputy governor of Massachusetts from 1682 to 1687.  He died in Kingston, MA in 1704 and is buried at Burial Hill, Plymouth, MA.

Epitaph:

Here lies the body of ye honorable Major William Bradford, who expired Feb. ye 20th 1703-4, aged 79 years.

He lived long but still was doing good,

And in his countrys service lost much blood;

After a life well spent, he's now at rest,

His very name and memory is blest.

1909 – Hazel Henry in Sumner, IL the daughter of E.C. Henry & Rosa Shick.  She died 1983 in Onarga, IL and is buried in Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, IL.

1658 - John Bissell & Isabel Mason in Saybrook, CT.  Isabel b. ca. 1634 in Windsor, CT was the daughter of Capt. John Mason. 

1771 – Jacob Fishback & Phoebe Morgan in Fauquier Co. VA.  Jacob was born 1749 in Virginia and died in 1821 in Kentucky.  Phoebe was the daughter of William & Elizabeth (?) Morgan born Fauquier Co. VA 1751 and died in Kentucky 1837.

1771 – John Fishback & Alice Morgan – siblings of Jacob & Phoebe above were married in a double ceremony them.

1925 – Weber Bryan & Ada Harrison.  Weber the son of Wesley & Catherine (Smith) Bryan was born 1897 in Clay Co. IL.  He died 1957 in Indiana.  Ada was born 1900 in Clay Co. IL.

1943 – Charles Oliver & Rilla Cook in St. Charles, MO.  Charles, son of Samuel & Gaynell (White) Oliver in Louisville, IL.  He died in 1995 in Louisville, IL.  Rilla born 1924 in Clay Co. and died 1995 Louisville, IL.  The had three children.

1947 – Bob Prouty & Evelyn Lathrop.  Evelyn is the daughter of Merit & Fern (Petty) Lathrop.  The couple have four children.

1949 – Dale Colclasure & Hazel Rudesill in Wayne Co., IL.  Dale the son of Clarence & Marybelle (Fitzgerald) Colclasure was born 1928 in Fairfield, IL.  He served in the Air Force during World War II and worked as a welder afterwards. He died 2009 Fairfield, IL.  Hazel born 1929 in Wayne Co., IL was the daughter of C.T. & Nellie (Bond) Rudesill.  She died in Fairfield in 2011.  The couple had six children.  They are buried in Burnt Prairie Cemetery, Burnt Prairie, IL.
